A CHANCE ENCOUNTER

A Letter To My Friend

I just started to write a letter to my friend when Amin said Hello. Amin is a refugee from Syria. He is desparately searching for a flat to escape the container lodging. I can’t help, but we start a conversation about sorrow and pain, but there’s also laugther. He teaches me how to write my names in Arabic. My name is very difficult to write. Amin sings Syrian songs to us and plays them on Youtube. When I leave, I know that we will not see each other  probably ever again. But our meeting has shaped me greatly.
